Joliet Junior College recently broke ground on two new expansion projects. The new 80,000 square foot multipurpose athletic facility on the main college campus provides a new sports training and competition venue for college sports. The new 50,000 square foot classroom, academic building at the Romeoville campus expands the current capacity of the satellite campus. CCS provided cost management services to the College throughout the design process for the $ 40 million expansions.
Program VerificationProgram verification, a process that uses Parametric Cost Model™* to continually predict current and future costs as the facility progresses, can help owners set a realistic and, more importantly, real-time Construction Cost Limitation (CCL), the maximum amount that will be paid for a construction project as contracted between the owner and architect. When conducted at the outset of project definition, a program verification can help ensure that the project remains within the CCL with few or no necessary adjustments to project scope.
